The Avon - Heathcote Estuary's Pleasant Point Yacht Club may soon need a new home.
The photos show the recent earthquake did extensive damage to the club's building and the land on which it is built.
The club has been going for a long time and is enjoyed by many members. The waters of our Estuary provide a great place for sailing.
The area is safe for learners and the facilities provided by the club include lessons, coaching and yachts for new members and learners to use.
It must have been upsetting for members to discover what had happened to their club's home. Let's hope they can overcome this setback!

We raised $512.70 for LEC funds and had a fun day. There are still plants and books available.
