Twenty-six submissions were received by the Council in December, on a wide range of concerns over the controversial development of the former Ranger's Football Ground, Eric Adams Park. The Senior Planner has requested a significant amount of further information from the developers including drainage plans, traffic safety and the future use of lots 4, 10 and 13 which were left blank on the submission.
Opponents of the extreme density of the proposed housing submission fear lots 4, 10 and 13 are being earmarked for further 'affordable' 2-storey, one-garage width co-joined units once the original submission (which already includes 23 such units and 19 residential houses on the small site) are approved.
Currently, the application has been placed on hold until the receipt of this information by the Council from the planners, after which a hearing date will be set.
